They will require a copy of your course certificate which demonstrates that you have passed your assignments and have had 60 hours of training and are now considered to be a Special Yoga Senior Practitioner
How are the sixty hours made up?
Catch up and revision.
At the start of the course we have provided a Resource Library which contains a large number of practices from our foundation courses. You do not need to watch them all - although we know some of you will want to as each time you see them you'll find something new - we never get in the same river twice!
Please see post 3 Resource Library & Getting Started for guidance of what you'll need watch as learning (different for graduate of each foundation course) and revision (the same for everyone).
Webinars
Webinars offer an amazing opportunity to learn direct from Jyoti and from other teacher/advanced practitioners with many years using our methodology with children and adults.
Not only will you learn from their experience but you'll also benefit from hearing about the experience of the other practitioners on the course.
There will be time spent practising together, time discussing the teachings and learning how to implement becoming more confident in adapting practices to whomever is before you.
This is your opportunity to ask questions, immerse yourself and come away with a rounder understanding of what it takes to be a senior practitioner.
The first webinar is a 'must-attend' - we all get to meet each other and from that you'll be allocated to a small study group with a study group teacher who'll support you throughout the course.
We can't imagine why you'd not want to be there for the remaining webinars but we know that sometimes life get's in the way. If you can't attend you will need to watch the recording as it's part of the sixty hours.
Study Support Sessions
On this course there are four study support sessions each of which has an assignment for you to work on with your smaller study group. Students often feedback that they find this one of the most useful parts of the course.
These sessions are not recorded as we find the conversation really flows when the camera is off! If you aren't able to attend one week then you'll be asked to liaise with a fellow student to discuss what happened, to reflect on the study group assignment yourself and submit a brief report to your study group leader with your reflections.
Pre-recorded lessons and handbook
We've calculated the time it will take you to work your way through 85% of the pre-recorded and written aspects of the course - that's the minimum amount you'll need to have completed to get to sixty hours.
Self Practise and Embodying the Practices
You'll know from your previous Special Yoga training that the difference between a Special Yoga practitioner and a yoga practitioner is that with Special yoga you will work from the heart. You'll also know how much easier this is when you practise self care and compassion daily. In the Resource Library we have marked some lessons with a KP - key practice.
These are your guide towards the practices you may wish to prioritise but please be lead by your own instincts.
Time has been set aside within the sixty hours for your daily practice and we trust you will honour this.
Assignments
In the course schedule you'll find a number of personal assignments for you to do. When completed they'll be submitted to your study group leader who will give you one to one feedback.
So that's the sixty hours.
