Chair Yoga One Day Webinar -
Next Webinar Spring ‘25

“You will be amazed at the variety of positions and movements chair yoga offers to all types of people and most importantly it brings smiles and laughter to many and it is so enjoyable to teach!” Richard Kravetz

About Chair Yoga: Accessible - Adaptable - Effective

Our single-day webinar develops your skills to support a more diverse population than may be able to access mat-based practices.

Promote independence, positivity, and confidence to less-mobile populations. Practised sitting in, or standing behind a chair and using it for support, Special Yoga’s chair yoga uses simple techniques to support diverse populations that have restricted movement due to disability, aging or injury. It allows participants to physically extend themselves in a safe environment. Chair yoga can be taught anywhere, and doesn’t need any special equipment.

Our training teaches anyone supporting less-abled people a specialist skill set, helping them promote yoga to a wider population and create a connection with their students which can have a positive impact on their lives.

Using a chair to reduce the need for complicated postures allows participants to compensate for reduced flexibility, strength and balance. Chair Yoga creates a safe environment for any body type to see improvements in their:

  • Mental and emotional resilience

  • Strength, coordination and flexibility

  • Quantity and quality of sleep

  • Attention and concentration

  • Digestive health

  • Manage emotional trauma

  • Relationships and communication

  • Reduction of physical pain
